Some Putnam Public Service District customers in Scott Depot are without water Tuesday.
Putnam PSD said in a release the outage affects customers along Bills Creek Road and Winfield Road. The outage is caused by a leak near the intersection of the two roads.
Putnam PSD said they are unsure of how many customers are affected by the outage.
Putnam PSD staff are shutting off a valve near the leak that should restore service to some customers on Bills Creek Road soon.
However, customers between Bills Creek and Canary Lane will experience longer outages. Putnam PSD said they do not know when service will be restored.
An emergency portable water tank will be at Hidden Cove Marina for customers affected by the outage. A 24 hour boil water notice will follow after service is restored.
