Kanawha County dispatchers and first responders handled dozens of calls of crashes Tuesday as heavy rain moved through the area. Interstate 64 West was backed up for a little more than two hours after a collision between a car and a truck near the Nitro interchange. The crash was reported just after 12:45 p.m. Dispatchers said the truck spilled diesel fuel, which was cleaned up by the Department of Transportation. Up the road, a pickup rolled over into a ditch near the Dunbar entrance ramp at about 1:15 p.m. No injuries were reported in either crash.
