A man robbed a Putnam County gas station this morning, police say.
The man, described as a tan, white man in his 30s or 40s with brown hair, brown eyes and bushy eyebrows, robbed the Rock Branch Sheetz at about 5 a.m., then fled on foot, according to a release from the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.
He "alleged" that he had a gun but never showed one, the release says.
The man had a tan T-shirt over his face. He wore a dark blue T-shirt, blue jeans and a camouflage army style jacket that looked too big for him. He had no visible tattoos or jewelry.
Police released a photo from surveillance footage. Anyone with information can call the sheriff's department at 304-586-0256.
