WINFIELD - Members of the Putnam County Board of Education voted Monday to temporarily rescind 13 Title I teaching positions in the county.
Gary Cook, assistant superintendent for personnel and pupil services, said the positions temporarily are rescinded each year until the school system receives its Title I funding.
The positions, all of which are elementary school teaching positions, are not eliminated.
"This is something we go through every year," board member William Legg said during the meeting.
