The Run for the Wall roared through Nitro Wednesday on their way to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. Hundreds of motorcyclists - veterans, friends and family - left Ontario, California, earlier this month for the cross-country trek to Washington. The bikers complete the ride each year to promote healing among veterans, call for an accounting of Prisoners of War and those Missing in Action, honor those Killed in Action and support all military around the world. Normally the ride stops at Valley Park in Hurricane, but riders were unable to stop there because of ongoing construction. Riders instead visited Nitro's Living Memorial Park.
