Vice President Mike Pence will be in Scott Depot today for a "listening session" with area small businesses and job creators.
Pence, accompanied by Linda McMahon, chief of the U.S. Small Business Administration, will visit Foster Supply, on Teays Valley Road, according to White House news release.
The event is not open to the public.
The listening session is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m., the release said. Pence is set to land at the Air National Guard base at Yeager Airport, in Charleston, shortly before 12:30 p.m.
Foster Supply - described in the release as "an American-owned and operated small, family business" - is owned by Putnam County Commissioner Ron Foster, who is married to state Delegate Nancy Foster and is the father of state Delegate Geoff Foster. All are Republicans; Ron and Nancy Foster changed their names to Ronald Reagan Foster and Nancy Reagan Foster in 2012.
