The Putnam County Board of Education will be moving forward with proposed levy rates for the 2017-2018 school year.
The board approved the rate Monday night.
Putnam County Schools said the rate will remain the same, except for the bond levy, which will slightly decrease.
Chris Campbell, Putnam County Schools treasurer, said Class II properties will pay $11.38 per for every $100 of assessed value under next year's plan. Putnam homeowners currently pay $12.06 per $100.
The Board also voted to suspend and terminate the employment of a substitute professional employee in the district, Lindsay Francis.
