The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for Putnam County on Wednesday afternoon, but canceled it early after flooding failed to develop.
At about 1 p.m, the weather service sent an alert saying up to 2 inches of rain had already fallen in some parts of Putnam County.
A Putnam County dispatcher said at about 1:30 they had not received any reports of rising water so far. At about 2:45 p.m., another Putnam County dispatcher said they still had not received any reports of flooding.
The warning was originally issued until 4 p.m., but then was canceled shortly after 3 p.m.
